I did write a couple of weeks ago after the North game I felt the game had passed him by. BUT, I think he has been excellent the past 2 weeks, especially the Port game, and we look a much better side with him in there and playing well.

We just need him to do it on a consistent basis, my main concern is can his body hold up to the constant week-to-week physical toll of AFL football.

I could not believe some of the comments about Hadley after the North game. I thought he was just as good in that game as he has been in the next two. The only difference probably being a couple of loose passes by foot. I think comments about consistency are completely unwarranted. Hadley is a quality player and should never have been out of the team.

This guy is a warrior in close and we look a better team with him there. His vision and creativity by hand are top class. His work releases the speedy outside midfielders.

Most in his position would have given up by now. I believe he was hampered with OP early in his career; missed entire seasons 2005 & 2006 having knee reco's; and missed half of 2008 with groin problems. This year was his first injury free pre-season in many years. At 26 he has played only about 60 senior games. How can you not be excited about the potential upside of this guy (rather than waiting to jump on his case again if he puts in a bad one)

Definitely dont want to jump on his case, but I (like many others) worry about the injuries having caught up with him and not being able to string many good games in a row together because of this. We will see, and I hope he can.

I'm really feeling for the guy after today. We're going to miss his class during the finals. Hopefully he can get some pre-season in before next year.

Whats the official word on his injury?, so far I have only heard inferences of a broken ulna,
but nothing definitive!

Is it beyond hope that he may only miss 1 or 2?

hadley's hardness will be sorely missed. since he has been back in the firsts, i have had nothing but respect for the way he protects teammates and goes hard at it. OK, his kicking has been terrible, but his attack on the footy and the opposition have been far more important.

bad luck with the injury. I hope he gets better asap.

No getting round the fact this is a huge loss for us.

Best wishes to Richard.

Sounds like he'll be right for the semi or prelim

..soft, we can still play him, he handballs too much anyways, time he concentrates on his kicking....

I wonder whether he has ever played six consecutive games of football in his AFL career thus far

I rate him

His problem is lack of continuity ... he never winds right up

Great news! Still a chance to play again this year if we're still there!
