How about Swanny put some of his past history to good use. I hear that one G Brown may now need to look elsewhere. I'd love to see him cross to Carlton in a senior assistant role. I reckon he would bring lots to the table. It would also really pee Eddie off. The rivalry would go up an extra notch.

good suggestion

Dont think so.He's woefull.

You hear that he's much highly rated than McKenna, but doesn't have the political nous to get a senior coaching job.[/quote]

I'd be hoping the days of doing things purely to annoy Collingwood are long gone.

Rowdy was/is a highly respected player/person and if his assistant coaching abilities stack up better than say Lappins or Teagues then I'd be happy to see him at Visy Park next year.

This guy was considered a dud by the large majority of posters on TC and most were over the moon when he got the flick with Pagan. Many here said he had no idea and was only kept on because he was DP's mate.

Funny how he ended up at the Saints as an Assistant coach. Did someone say the Saints are undefeated. Maybe he's not so bad afterall.

Yeah I heard Pagan was unhappy about Elshaug's sacking. Unfortunate, but a lot of undesirable things happened during that period.

I'm happy to back the judgment of Swann & co but I wonder if there's any truth to the whole 'boys club' issue. It seems like a lot of the our staff played together at Carlton, also with Sticks, which might compromise our ability, to a degree, to be unbiased and ruthless in order to get the best possible. Ratts' performance last week made me think that we've got it right, just need to be more consistent. Hope so.

Personally, I would try to get Laidley a role as senior assistant if he doesn't get a head coach role at Richmond.
