R9: Adelaide v Carlton (Match Thread)

Have calmed down from the first half fiasco, atleast we won the 2nd half ...its a young side and a young coach ... still learning. Have to say I liked some of Ratts second half moves ...his first quarter what a joke ... but although a little dissapointed I really feel a lot will come out of this game. Praying for Waite ... hopefully its not too bad.

Will we make the 8 this year .... on today have to say no ... especially if Waite is out for a while.

But surprising not shattered ... was gutted after the first half but there were a few positives in the 2nd.

Still too many passengers again today, too many clangers and when we got the momentum too many misses.

Adelaide did not win today we lost ... showed our age by folding when under pressure ... too many players to name ... just hope they take this and learn from it ... and i mean everyone including the MC, the coaching staff and players.

Thing that drove me crazy was Stevens game ... been on his back for a long time and he is one of our few shining lights ... go figure.

Just really dissapointed with the boys first half effort ... unbelievably bad, still shell shocked really!

But will still be patient with them ... at least it was not 4 shocking quarters again! ... in my mind just the two today

Is it just me or are our players too skinny. Besides Fev and Joseph I struggle to think of a player with big arms and chest. The Adleaide players made us look like dweebs. Or is it the uniforms?

If he doesn't get dropped this week, it just sends a message that mediocrity is fine at Carlton. It ain't that he was our worst, but he's never in our best or even top 6.

We DO have a lot of inexperienced players in our side, and that's why we're up and down like a yo yo, but JR is supposed to be one of our senior players now. Instead he's like a 20 gamer.

And those blaming him for all our woes is getting very old too. Works both ways.

Look...first 1/2 today by THE TEAM was an absolute train wreck....but 2nd half was much closer to what we want.

Yeah fair point, I wasnt blaming him for the loss just using him as an example. I'm sure he trys his guts out but its time we all realized he just isnt up to it and players who get unlimited chances are what is holding this club back from bigger things.

You can't be serious camel? Are you prepared to make excuses on their behalf after witnessing that 1st half. Give me a break!
Those types of performances CANNOT be accepted! It has exposed many flaws and shows how far we are from being anywhere near a finals contender. Sorry if these performances make me angry but they do!

Mate, that post of yours basically says the team is rubbish full stop. Not this week. Just full stop.

No problems taking the guys to task for today's effort, but if you think the team are pretenders and have no promise then you're just kidding yourself.

Today was an incredibly poor performance, I agree, but there were still up sides.

Bower played well.
Aaron Joseph did a fantastic on on McLeod.
Kreuzer showed again he has class.
Likewise Murphy.

So, I won't make excuses for today's effort if you don't lose all sense of perspective.

Seems like a fair deal to me. :roll:

Did we lose the gym during the renovations.

Our kids look like skinny runts compared to the crows kids......
