I would have thought the main reasons for there being no need for this discussion yet are that there is still 20 weeks for things to change and there are better things to talk about at the moment.

Everyone is different though so go for it guys.

Guys that could be in line for the chop are

Bentick
Hartlett
Edwards
Bannister
Anderson
Fisher
oHailpin (ducks head for cover :yikes: )

I know that some of these guys will have a contract, but if there is room in the cap to do it, I think the club would pay out the contract rather than delist a required player.

The thing about the guys that I have picked is that I don't believe that they will have the capacity to get any better than they currently are, which is obviously not good enough to be in our best 22 or even 30 for the better part.

No Names..... :smoking:

Why?

Lets face it, these are not guys in their second or third year and have not really progressed from year to year.
They will know their position, that its a make or break year for them, so why shouldn't we name them?

People need to get a grip and not be so precious, turning over the list is what makes good teams, great teams and we need to keep blooding new players that put pressure on the guys playing in the seniors. We have finally got to that point this year and you only have to look at our performances to see the improvement that competitioon for positioin plays in maintaining intensity across the team.

Why? Because AFL players believe it or not have access to the internet as well. While you'd hope that players would have enough confidence in themselves to shrug things like this off some would undoubtably feel a bit depressed at the idea that three weeks into the AFL season, before the VFL season has even started, Carlton "supporters" are calling for them to be delisted.

We all know which players really need to step up this year anyway so there's no need for this thread.

And you have just highlighted whats wrong with todays society.

No one says what they feel or think for fearing that they will be labeled as racist, homophobic, shouvanist etc.
I don't subscribe to the don't offend anybody school of no balls society.
If someone has an issue with me or my work performance, then just tell me. You can't expect anyone to correct their deficeincies if they are unaware of them and further than that some people become depressed because they fail to comunicate their issues and are eventualy overwhelmed by these issues.

Back on topic, the players I listed are based on their improvements over the last 2-3 years not 3 rounds. Like I said its make or break time for these guys as a footy club is a bit like a rose. If you prune properly, get good genetics and encourage growth in th right areas then you will have a prize winning rose. Our time to blossom is soon, we will only get one more chance to prune before we will be judged and I want first prize!

Go Blues!!

I think we should wait for this bridge to arrive before we cross it.
There is many a slip betwixt the cup and the lip.
Lets not count our chickens just yet.

Any others?
