Simpson is our best choice for vice captain. I still believe he shows the most leadership qualities on field.

We will most likely stay as we were though and have Simmo and Stevens as Vice Captains.

Definitely Gibbs, based on last years performances, he stood out the most as a leader. Very calm and cool under pressure, and shows good leadership on the field.

I tend to agree, but I voted AWWWWWWW as I don't see any reason to expect a change will be made.

Stevo . Great player , and stepped up to the no1 job when he had to last year .

2011 maybe Murphy or Gibbs to step up . For now let the young guns cocentrate on playing football .

Simmo has proven he has the capacity to step up and lead from the front. Stevo did against Richmond, but still goes missing to easily when we need him most.

That's how much space he needs to perform at his optimum.

Bryce Gibbs for me. Stevens is not good enough to be a leader.

So he was, iirc, in the Leadership group in his 1st year amd VC in his 3rd ??? Give the kid to develop his game before he is thrown in the deep end as far as the added responsibilities that being the VC will carry ..................... Same goes for Murphy .............. I see Gibbs and Murphy being the Captain and Vice Captain of the side in 2011 and onwards, but let the kids develop before you try and turn them into the players responsible for leading guys MUCH older than themselves on the field ...............

If you REALLY need a new VC (I think Stevens is fine for next year, but will/should probably step aside in 2010) then I would go with Walker .......... Skillful, tough, tenacious and was clearely in our top 5 players when he came back from injury last year. Give him a pre-season and a decent run with injuries and I see Walker as a big key to our improvement in 2009 !!!!!!!

I was a fan of giving Walks a leadership role the last few seasons but have cooled on that given his off-field indescretions..

I'd like to think they keep Stevo as VC.

Despite what a lot of TCers think of him I recon the players respect him and that's what is needed in the roll.

He lead from the front minus Judd last year and that proves he plays the roll well enough.

There's plenty of time for Murph and Gibbs to step up to those positions in the years to come. For now I'd like to see them working on looking after there own games not other players.

Is it footy season yet? This waiting around is crap! Lets get it on

Anyone think that perhaps Stevo should step aside from the VC to focus more on his health and fitness?

Gibbsy seems an ideal VC to Juddy, IMO.

..stevo, at least simply by default, though i reckon his senior experience adds to judd's.. ..and play him off a wing..
