JohnM and others, the Blues need you!

Calling all Blues fans.

On Sunday 30th November you can go into battle for the Blues in the Great Australian Run - a 15km fun run on a fantastic and unique circuit through the streets of Melbourne, starting and finishing on the Grand Prix circuit at Albert Park.

By selecting Carlton FC when you enter online at www.greataustralianrun.com.au you register to run for the Club. The first 50 male and 50 female finishers for each club will have their times averaged out to determine the team with the Fittest Fans. Prizes will be awarded to these 100 runners from the winning team.

Plus, if you wish, you can raise funds for the preferred charity of the Carlton Football Club, in the process.

The Olympian Craig Mottram has already signed up and is running for the Blues and is sure to be the first counter for the Carlton team. Join other international stars like the great Ethiopian, Haile Gebrselassie, AFL players and thousands of joggers and walkers of all standards in the inaugural Great Australian Run. It’s not a Premiership Cup, but bragging rights are on the line!

I was planning to have a run, but I've got the kids solo on that weekend, so I'll have to give it a miss.

Maybe Buster can nominate Geb as a blue?

I'll be getting down there to watch the lead runners though, and any sports fan should do likewise: this is the best distance-running field outside of the 2000 Olympics ever seen in this country, and Geb (the best distance runner ever) is going to give the 15k WR a serious crack.
