Again what did he do wrong that tells us he can't handle it?

Previously he has done the following while under the influence of alcohol.

Fire extinguisher thru Melbourne Uni
The drycleaners
Irish barman in a headlock
Urinating on a window one week out from Rd 1

Although not much, he does get caught doing moronic things when under the influence, ergo he cannot handle his alcohol.

Wasn't the fire extinguisher thing at the Student Village in Maribyrnong? I lived there when I was at Uni. Man, we had some wild times, toga parties where half naked couples ended up under bushes getting "friendlier", competitions to see who could spew the furthest off the balcony, climbing the communications tower in the paddock next door etc etc.

Fev's list is pretty tame.

Add to that list, fight with girlfriend after big day at races. Exciting list.

Boring?... I think it would have more to do with the fact that he knows that he is well and truly out of his depth when he is standing in a corporate marquee full of successful bussiness people who can maintain a bit of dignity when they're on the drink.

I don't watch much Sex and the City, but I'm reminded of that scene where some bird was notorious for getting her tits out at parties... but the novelty had worn off by the time they had grown up.

A few similarities between our Fev and the Whizza... Capper was a loveable larrikin. Good for a laugh. A great bloke to have at your party. A superstar on the field.

Wazza is making pornos now.

If it wasn't for the support of his mates at Sportsmen's nights, Wazza wouldn't have a pot to piss in by now.... We all laugh at how he clings to every piece of media attention and how he has succumbed to the Cult of Celebrity - famous for being famous - rather than for being a 100 goal full forward who, week-in-week-out put thousands of bums on seats and helped create a platform for the game in 'foreign' states.

The AFL does a good job these days of educating players about life after football - when the fame (and drink cards) are no longer there. I'm sure Fev knows what he's doing.

Fev can get on the turps and act the bogan as much as he wants. He's become an expert at it.

The only objection I have is the impact his actions have on the club and his fellow players. If he wants his manager to screw the club for marketing dollars, he should accept the conditions that apply. Unfortunately, with marketing allowances comes responsibilities and expectations. If he wants to be a "face" of the club, he needs to project an acceptable image.

Having public spats with his woman and turning up to the opening of an envelope in a pissed state doesnt fit the bill AFAIC.

The equations simple IMO, if Fev wants to be the pissed idiot that he performs so admirably, go for your life but dont hit the club up for marketing dollars to fund it.

This is not about the Herald Sun it is about Fev's ongoing behaviour in public.

I am pretty sure that the young guys who are and have been busting their gut to be professional and be given one fiftieth the opportunities that Fev has been given give a serious flying flower, as would the coaches and leadership group at the club. A group that Fev has serious misguided belief that he can be a part of.

I don't know what is more sad here, Fev's actions or the so called supporters of this club making excuses for this knob. And you seriously expect Carlton to be pressing for a seventeenth flag by relying on players with these personal qualities. We still have a long way to go in the professionalism stakes it seems. Thank goodness our young up and coming stars seem to be cut from different cloth and have a more professional attitude.

No credible sources in that article im sorry, dont believe the HS for a second they are so full of shit on many things

That's all fair enough, and if Fev does the wrong thing by the terms of his contract then the club needs to act accordingly, if he's representing the club then he does need to present himself in an acceptable fashion.
Was he representing the club while at the races?
Does Alex also have a contract with the club? The acticle infers that she started the argument after all.

Well, apparently Fev came back to training in good shape for the first time in a long time, so I don't care what he did in his holidays

But surely the universe was about to implode due to Fev's day at the races.

Fev has unfortunately painted a crosshair on his forehead with some priors. Now, if he lost his carkeys it would make the papers.

If I took my Mrs to the races she would have a go at me, no idea what for but she has a go at me for everything else so why would the races be any different. Big difference is that i am a nobody schlep out in internet land and highly unlikely to get an invite to the Emirates tent at the races.

If you are a journo looking for copy for your next Fev article feel free to cut and paste from below:

'an insider reported that Carlton Bad Boy Fev was seen having a falling out with celebrity wife....Blah Blah etc etc etc...........sources speculated that it might have been about [insert emotive attention grabbing headline here]'

Fev is a big Bogan whose only skill is catching a footy and kicking a goal. Why does anybody expect anything more of him. If he was Australia's ambassador to the UN or the Governor General I'd be worried, but to date Fev hasnt won any Nobel peace prizes or cured cancer so I'll go on expecting for him to barge on through life like a Bogan with too much cash and I wont be surprised with the outcomes.

In the meantime I'll love every minute of him catching a football and scoring a goal!!!
