Thought I'd post saying our drive Sports Show hosted by Cornsey & KG had a chat with Ratts tonight. To their credit 5AA regularly catch up with the Vic clubs coaches or players. We usually get Sticks a few times a year, and Bryce is also a favourite.

Here's a brief wrap of what Ratts had to say;

PRESSURE: Asked about pressure for Carlton to make the finals, Ratts said it was an expectation and spoke of the disappointment of not making it this year. Expects to make the finals next year but pointed out that was a pretty standard line for every club to say, but for Carlton there are no excuses.

He expects to see 10/15 % improvement over the list in regard to physical aspects, growth and fitness. Spoke of the young lads returning to training in top shape, and also about the Bullants training if your BMI is out etc.

WARNOCK: When asked was very positive and mentioned our Ruck deficiencies. Said he was 206 cm tall....
Spoke about his skills and the ability to run out a game.

HARVEY: Big wraps on Harvs, especially the way he prepares himself, hopes this rubs off on the young 'uns.

JUDD: Impact was sensational. Very coachable, fantastic communicator at all levels and a great asset and he can see the ethic rubbing ioff on blokes like Murph & Gibbs. Is in far better shape this season and is already at the club helping the young blokes with weights etc etc...

GIBBS: Spoke about Bryce, and mentioned he's going to be a great player. Spoke about the games where he tore Goodes & Cornes a new hole...

Overall he spoke very well, and presented the Club in a very good light to us South Aussies !! Well done Ratts...
