It's a bit curious that we're still trying to decide whether Waite should play forward or back for a guy who is rising 26 and has played over 100 games. I guess it's a sign of the predicament we have with our structure.

Waite's career goal average is about 1.0 per game , in other words about the same as Spalding as a Carlton player and a bit behind Sellers (1.3 per game). Remember, Sellers spent the first few years of his career in defence.

Waite is a workhorse which is what you need in a CHF. I know he sprays his shots a bit but I reckon he's a low risk option for the permanent CHF position.

Taking the decision on Waite as CHF forces decisions about CHB. I'm not saying I have the answer to that but maybe the MC and CEO will solve that in the middle of next month.

Might say a lot about Waite's flexilibility more than our problems in my opinion, remembering he started as a wingman (2003), injured 2004, played predominantly forward in 2005 (36 goals), injured 2006 and everywhere since.
