Carlton supporters everywhere round Brisbane last night. HIGH win. Hugged a lot of strangers, however they were dressed in navy blue thus aligning them immediately with a heritage of success and sophistication.

Beer warning- Chalk Hotel: crappest/flattest pot I've had in a long time. And the pub up the road which I think is the Imperial Australian or something like that- just flat out shit. Rubbish set-up and bad prices.

But the mood and atmosphere from both supporters was really good; however, you can still sense that the Brisbane Lions apparent pride is not anywhere near as deep-rooted as Carlton maniacs.

Kudos to the dude at the bottle-o heading out of town hanging shit on Lions supporters.

What a win...

I flew up for the game and couldn't believe how many Carlton supporters were there.

Behind the goals gate 7 - it was phenomenal. There were more people I saw after the game wearing carlton gear than Brisbane gear.

Some of these supporters must be locals - as there were just too many people to be fly-ins. The noise we made when singing the song after the game - it was astounding.

The Carlton army is rolling into action. Go Blues!

Train ride to Bald Hills was fun - Carlton supporters were not disguising their glee at all!! :)
As we got off, one old lady (Lions fan) asked us if all Carlton supporters were loudmouths like one guy who'd said "See ya Winners!" every time a Blue got off the train... We just laughed and said everyone had a right to be like that sometimes!!

Points of interest from the stats:

- T. Johnstone had 69% game time.
- JR had 66% game time.
- Charman had 31 hit outs.
- Had only 1 to advantage.

Conclusions
JR's tagging was time well spent.
Our boys Hammer and Kreuze competed well to nullify Charman.
Our contested ball winners Judd (14), Murphy (10) and Grigg (12) were sensational.

Time to ROCK & ROLL boys!!!!!

Play brave, play free football. Link up, play with & for one another, because they are your mates, liken to kin.

Be creative, with no fear & FFS be natural & play your own games. Be footballers, not sportsmen running around trying to adhere to a specific game plan. Sure stick to the game plan at all times but FFS do it whilst showing the rest of the football world why we have faith in you & in your given talents.

Get bloody angry if need be. Tear em a new one. Get right up em. In their faces at all times. At stoppages, hunt in packs, again playing with & for one another. Flow from stoppages & be first to the ball, because you want to be the one to give it to your mate, who is gunna kick a goal - right!! Yeah!!!

People say theres nothing to play for. F%$& that. Theres PRIDE. Pride for the jumper, the club, for you & FOR US. Start strong, play strong & finish stronger.

BE BLUE & PROUD TO BE SUCH. GO BLUE BOYS.
 That's bloody beautiful, TC .. Ratts should read from this and if it doesn't spark a victory, I don't know what they have to do to win!

BTW cheers P. Glad someone liked it. Little bit "fueled" was that post

Someone seriously needs to show this kid how to kick a bloody ball and mark up a bloody player. He can't play the game very well he cost us the match against Kangaroos. What a punce. Where did Pagan get this guy from.
 :!: A bloody soccer team where he played keeper.

I'll just add that with high ticket prices, high brew prices, we are also "contributing" towards the scabbas merchant banking fees. You get slugged $2.00 just to withdraw some cash via EFTPOS. JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

our greatest ever win from a third-quarter deficit: :-D

I just picked up on this

This team is getting good at re-writing records. Equalled our best ever 3rd qtr comeback against Port in Rd 11 (30 points) & then bested it on Sat night. Who do they think they are, Michael Phelps

Not only that but just read in "Inside Football" that they are only the 3rd team EVER to win a match after losing the 3rd qtr by 50 pts or more.

- R10 1964 Footscray lost 3rd qtr to Fitzroy by 57 pts - won by 8 pts
- R1 2002 Melbourne lost 3rd qtr to Hawthorn by 50 pts - won by 26 pts
All 3 teams led at half time but Carlton's 32 pts was the greatest deficit of the three at 3 quarter time. Impressive!

Certainly are the last qtr specialists.

:-D :-D :-D
