It'll be interesting to see if the club puts the cue in the rack for 2008 now, or if they go all out to try and win the last two games. Obviously, it would be great to end the year with 2 underdog victories, but I would be focusing purely on 2009 now. Wrap a few blokes up in cotton wool (eg. Kreuzer), send off to hospital those that need it now (Jamo?), and meanwhile have a look at some young players that haven't had much in the way of opportunities this year (and might be facing the chop), such as:
Pfeiffer
Anderson
Jacko
Edwards
Harts
Blackers
Aisake
I'd have Jacobs on the above list too, but I don't think rookies can be elevated after Round 19 (?).
I've pretty much written off Ackland, Saddo & Benji (& possibly AB) as lost causes, and perhaps the MC has done the same for some of the above listed guys.
Let's face it, you'd think that by Round 20 the MC would have made their made up about who's going to be there next year and who isn't. But, if there's any doubt in the MC's mind, I'd be happy if any players from the above list are selected in the remaining games so they get a chance to fight for their future...
