Pro: Hampson. Still needs more work. But his efforts on the weekend just go to show that just because a bloke is playing in the Bullants doesn't mean he isn't developing. I hope he gets more seniors this year, but whatever happens he is becoming a better footballer with the tuition he is receiving.

His chase and subsequent push in the back was pure GOLD.

PROS - I let out a softly said profanity towards the end of the first at our goal kicking. The ladies in front tilted their head, I realised and swiftly and profusely apologised. They laughed and said as much...ended up being Hammer's mum and another passionate Carlton lady. The rest of the match was spent talking intermittently about all things Carlton. A thoroughly enjoyable day. These Carlton mums are pure Gold, supporting the team and their children with passion. On the Hammer front he's family's now moved here to support him throughout his career. She also had a few quality anecdotes about the young man, and the bond he has with his new team mates. I walked away thinking we are developing a great spirit amongst the younger guys.
