If we get Warnock, Clokes role we be that of a back up which is all he's worth.

Have Warnock, Hampson & Kruezer in the side would work well and give us some genuine height.

Kruezer could then play mainly up forward. Hampson will develop into a good resting ruckman over time he is just raw.

Like to see us acquire Simon Madden as ruck coach. Was one of the best in the game at tap work. Will do our ruck division a world of good, particularly Hammer and Kreuzer.

Couldn't agree more Camel, the setups and rotations between the three was spot on by Ratts.

Hampson run was just special. His final fling was in tune with the port player ready to kick, however the port player pulled up and Hammer was left with the direct push. Not that it made sense but you could see what he was thinking at the time.

Only issue was a few occasions when we had too many guys going for the same mark inside 50 and spoiling each other. This also enabled Port to run the ball out a few times as our blokes weren't always able to apply pressure on their opponents after Port had won the ball at ground level.

Yeah that is true camelboy but remember we didn't have Eddie Betts playing who would have crumbed 2-4 goals against the power. It's not all bad when this happens but we just didn't have any crumbers ..

Yep, for sure.

My point was more that while it was great we had more marking options, those guys diddn't click as well as they might with more experience. Give it time and that teamwork will come.

Look at Geelong on Friday night, they'd have guys in a huddle in their F50, two would lead out to the pockets leaving the corridor empty which is where the ball went. That's a simplistic example of course, but it shows how making dummy leads and creating space for your teammates is so important and is the area we most need to improve on inside our attacking half.

We'll get there, yesterday just showed we're on the right track. Still a long way to go, but the signs are there, and despite a few disappointing near misses this year you can see the guys are getting better every week.

spot on cj69,
warnock would be a fantastic pick up.
warnock and hampson sharing the ruck while kreuzer can play up forward.
next year we will have bower back, austin will play more games and hadley will be back also.

Tell me something I dont know, being saying it all year...Hampson/Cloke in combination rucking allows Kruezer more time up forward.
Been impressed with Hampson everytime he has played and he was good recruiting...
