Good thing ABC702 had relatively frequent updates and I knew how well we were doing, but the pessimist in my thought it would only be short-lived .. I love being wrong!!

People who put pussy before footy will often miss parts of the game.

Whilst the come from behind wins are bloody exciting, you can't build a season on these types of wins. In a sense, these wins are flukes. To me they raise more questions such as 'how did we find ourselves 5 goals down at 3/4 time ?'.

In my opinion, I'm not going to be convinced we have turned the corner until we have more wins like today - hit the front, stay in front and grind the opposition.

That's why todays win - even against a pretty terrible Port side - was a really, really good win for our club.

Is all good what u r saying there Andy. I reckon though we should have won by more. But u make good points.

Sensational from the get go, never really looked likely of losing

Some accurate kicking and we really should of boosted the percentage by more

Probably won't make any diff in the long run in terms of final 8 positions but may do.

I'm not so sure TianaCon.

It is looking likely that to make the finals it will need to be at the expense of the Saints. Sure they are a game ahead but their percentage is almost the same as ours (unlike Collingwood).

The Saints run home is:

- Freo (Subiaco)
- Adelaide (Telstra)
- Essendon* (Telstra)

Fremantle don't appear to be tanking so I'd have them favourites to beat the Saints next week.

We still should have won this game by more than 100 points. If we had of put them away like we should have, then our percentage would have climbed up towards Collingwoods and percentage wouldn't play a role in our chances ...

Our biggest win since this game:

Can you pick the only player from both 10 goal + wins?

It might be our biggest win since the 2001 Final - but it would have to be the first win that I have walked away from (since 2001) that I have felt disatisfied with, only because we should have really stood on Ports throat and spiflicated them.

Still we are a young side and it will still be a season or so till we get to Geelong's ruthless level of performance.

Correct.

Fev played in both 10 goal wins, 7 seasons apart.

I liked it because later on that night a convo I had went like this:

Who Won?
Carlton
By how much?
Oh over 10 goals

Been a while since I said that, and its just another stepping stone to big things next year and beyond :-D

"11 points?"
"nah mate, goals"

You shoulda heard the noise in my loungeroom when Wiggo trapped, turned and fired......Pity he missed  .
