Don't shoot me, but I quite like Josh Fraser.

He has been forced to ruck for a team that has give him able support in McKee, Richards, Bryan to name a few losers.

He was bound to have his footy life expectancy reduced because of that.

He would probably prosper at another a club who aren't looking for a ruckman but KPP.

The major difference Sparky is the progress in player management (physical management) from when Fraser started in 1999 and now.

8 years is a long time in AFL terms and the professionalism at AFL clubs has come on leaps and bounds. Kruez doesn't get alot of game time. He is very well managed off the bench and only does 5-7 minute bursts on the ball. Maybe longer up forward. He is also closely monitored at Training.

Trust Cordy and Co to look after his welfare for the long term.

Absolute blind faith in Cordy. He can do no wrong..... But Cordy is now, what Dave Buttifant (sp?) was back then. The trouble with Fraser is that he was put into an accellerated weight-gain program from day one and he never had the frame to support it.

Krooz is a massive unit that, once he hits his peak, will revolutionise the game.

Good call. His peak as a ruckman is about all you could expect from (for the sake of similar body comparison) Setanta.... Capable, but not outstanding. Too many trade offs in their 'all-round' game to highlight them as a #1 ruck.

However, Fraser does not have the explosive busrt needed for a KPP player... He'll rarely get that 1-2m separation on a lead without a good blocking scheme.

Big diff is Fraser is an anemic-looking weed, but Fraser should fill-out very nicely in the next few years. With a bit more muscle on his frame he will have a little more protection for hsi joints and also deter the snipers from taking too many cheap shots.

Number 1 danger to Matty K at the moment though is his courage. He doesn't mind throwing himself into the fray and loves a smother.
