If you notice it actually travelled in line with the central beam on the roof of the Telstra Dome. :-D

I should stop watching these "Carlton You Tube" videos during the day - the dry cleaning bills are becoming prohibitive. :P

I actually used the roof closing point as a guide Agro. :-D

Well it wasn't a Rock Hudson was it.

I know given my age, that I should know what that means  but I don't.

Thought it was straight but wasn't.

Fev's kick before that was definitely a Rock Hudson. :-D

Pros:
Great Win - everyone had a good game but the Wiggler was the best!
Being at the game going nuts with the kids after one told me during the 3rd quarter that we are going to lose and I said..."well we stay until the end...remember the Port game?" my kid kept asking me how come I knew we were going to win.

Cons:
What are the chances of any team NOT tagging Stevens and Judd EVER again?

Just reading your sig again bill.

Last year I reckon Simpson was our number one midfielder.

This year he's number five I reckon.

Which isn't to say that he's playing poorly. I reckon he's fine. It's just that we've added Judd and Stevens and Gibbs and Murphy have stepped up big time.

If anyone was ever looking for a reason for our improvement that's gotta count for something.

Nothing new there I know - it just struck me how enormous a change that is.

Didnt go the game
Listened to SEN. Dermie was commenting that what impressed him about Fev was that after he gave the reversed free kick, the easy thing to do at the 1/4 time huddle would be to stand at the back of the pack, and try to hide from the coach. He stood front and centre, took his spray , which derm said tells the team "I've done the crime, I'm willing to stand here and take my medicine"
Seeing the replay of the incident, let me say his new surname isnt the only fake thing about Brian Lake.
Monkey see, monkey do. his captain Johnno is one of the biggest divers around. 2 frees in the first 3 minutes where he accentuated a hold and then dived forward in a Waite tackle on the wing. 3 minutes later he wanted a free for apush over the line for Wiggins. No wonder he had a crap game. His focus is on cheating free kicks

Fevola is nearly his own worst enemy - but the sooner the umpires actually start calling at least one or two of the following frees to Fev during a game:

- chopping of the arms,
- hands in the back
- holding the man/jumper

like they do for every other Full Forward in the AFL I am sure you will see Fevola's frustration levels diminish somewhat.

But of course with the Umpires wanting to be the front and centre of attention every week they just cannot resist the temptation of the crowd reaction they get every time they pay a free against or dont pay a free kick to Fevola.

If CSI were to do an ultra-violet scan on Fev after the end of every game I am sure they will find evidence of substantial stains from all the full backs playing on him.

The incident with Max Hudghton where Fev copped a free and 50 for high contact. I was watching the 2 of them. Fev was trying to lead and Max had him in a fair dinkum bear hug. he had both arms around Fevs waist holding him back. Fev is stupid for making high contact but its very frustrating when cheating is condoned by the umps because they hate Fev

I would hope the visit Icke paid to the umpires a couple f weeks ago, has been of some hlp in aiding Fev against some of the BS tactics used by opposition defenders.

The only thing keeping the Bullies in the game & stopping us from absolutely cutting them up & blowing them away in that 1st half was the umpires.

Their decisions were vital in allowing WB goals either directly or soon after directly. IMO.

Absolutely. I have never seen so many soft frees in a half of football as Sunday night. Some bewildering decisions in the center. The advantage to Harbrough(i think) and some of the holding the ball decisions were a disgrace.

Graphic footage on Footy Classified of Lake on top of Fev (on ground on his back) with both hands wrapped around his neck. Since when in the last 10 years has this NOT been an automatic free kick, no matter the lead up or how far off the ball?

Of course, when you consider the goon who is in charge of umpiring .....

Dont know whether its me or what but sometimes I swear the umps pay decisions either way just to balance the ledger of their intial bad decision. Its like a snowball effect. 2 wrongs......

Just checked. We are 12th for frees for & 8th for frees against. Not good at both ends. Come on umps. Give us a break.

I reckon if we had kicked straighter, that might have helped as well. We had an insanely higher number of scoring shots. Should have really put the game to rest much earlier.

It was an exciting game no doubt...but I REALLY would like a good anxiety-less win soon. Hopefully this week.
