Agree again Tyrants, specifically I think it would be mad to drop Fisher on the back of a few quiet weeks. We may be learning more about his limitations (second best defender) or it could just be a form slump. But even in a form slump Fisher is better than any other next forward option we have (subject to no changes in the defensive 6).
Edwards is young, slight and may be better in the long run because his hands are wonderfully sticky, but then again he may take a while. We are a team short on forward options and Fisher is a key player for mine.
Like 4thchickens points, who do we have on the list that would be better? Give me a fit and firing Hartlett and maybe but when is he fit, and when is he firing?
If i had the choice i would choose Edwards over fisher
I reckon Fish has been fantastic for the club. For a pick in the 70s he has been fantastic and he has had little luck with injuries.
The supply has been shit and they often dont look forward to him enough
But the fact is he is becoming a one trick pony. His good year last year could be his undoing. opposition coaches drag him away from the goals because
He lacks pace
he is a shit kick and struggles kicking goals from 50
The game is starting to pass him by already.
Edwards has more upside because he is the smae size the dukes are pretty good and what he has over Fisher is pace
Word has it is that he has a high opinion of himself. This may explain why he plays from behind in many Bullant games
From what I have seen he has more upside
It kills me to say this but if i had the choice i would go with Edwards.
And more importantly in a few years our coach will have to make that call
