there's no way judd would've chosen to come to carlton if that was all we had to offer. he said one of the differences between carlton adn collingwood was that we were willing to compensate west coast whereas collingwood wouldn't even discuss what they were thinking of trading. but there's no doubt they could have come up with something a bit better than just pick 3 and 20.

Lets not forget the only reason Judd cost us so much was Richmond and Greg Miller keeping us honest

I am still bemused with Miller how he keeps raving about how they offered a better deal than us (2 & 19 and a player). My question was and still is.

WHO IS THE PLAYER????????????

We gave up a pick 4 so essentially they got 3,4 & 20 for Judd, if Miller isnt naming the player there is no point to the debate. Or maybe they were going to throw in Tambling

We NEED somebody like JUDD if only for his professionalism and his determination.

You could throw picks 1-5 into this team but without some leadership, it would be worthless.

We got Judd & Pick 46 from West Coast for 3, 20 and Kennedy.

I reckon we're comfortably ahead at this stage but we may be even further up if Armfield turns into a player.

Still even if West Coast were to end up slightly ahead (and they'd need all three players to be AA to match the influence Judd's had on our club) all it would do is show that we were offering a fair deal and we're a club other clubs should be able to deal with fairly at trade time.

Everyone's a winner baby... :-D

Quite aside from any impact on the field, I wonder how many of the 40,000 members signed up on the back of some hype or expectation about Judd. How many of them wouldnt have signed up for picks 4 and 20.
