Actually Fev has been quite guilty of not putting in enough on the training track and of sulking on the field when things got difficult. Yet because he kicks goals regularly these factors seem to be conveniently overlooked.

FWIW, I've voted for 2 years

It has been far from overlooked, but when he is like the only shining light on the field, that must cut him some slack. For those saying same rules for everyone blah blah blah, your being naive. Imagine a Fevless Carlton between 2003-07 - we would of had absolutely no marquee/drawcard player, and not being dramatic, is the kind of thing that keeps clubs going though dark times.

actually your posts overlooks/excuses poor on field behaviour and poor efforts on the training track  In any professional sport such behaviour is unacceptable.

As for a Fev-less carlton - its impossible to for either side of the fence to say what would have happened. We might not have had such a 'big name' marquee player or others might have stepped up in his absence. There is little doubt that a fair few of our forwards might have developed more had they received more than token interest* when we enter F50. Alternatively we may have picked up another player in the PSD with Fev's salary (combined with any spare $ would have been 500k+/season

*Token interest in that they received approx 10-15%of F50 entries combined for all other forwards in the pagan era

Mind you I havent heard any reports of being poor on the training track since at least 05, so he seems much better on that front.

I know its a hypothetical to think of how things would of been without Fev, but I highly doubt in our situation we would of found some random bloke to kick 60-80 goals a season. Even if the situation was shared it around instead of being Fev focused, I dont believe at any time we had the required players to be able to do that with. All speculation of course.

This is gonna upset a few of you but how many premiership-winning teams have had a star player that's a regular guest on the Footy Show?

Jonathon Brown is a regular now but was he when the Lions were premiers? I don't know, but suspect Matthews would not have agreed with it.

I love seeing Fev kick goals and I'd love seeing us win a premiership even more.

Kleimann is now a player manager.

I didn't say he still worked for Collingwood. I said he was a keen Carlton supporter before he went to work for Collingwood. He was a good friend of SOS as Dr. sherrin said. Now he manages players.

You think there is a correlation between winning Premierships and being on the Footy Show?

Jonathan Brown lives in Brisbane. He was on last night because there is a game in Melbourne.

Having said that, James Hird - regular in 2000. Won a Premiership.

Also be mindful that interstate teams have dominated Premierships, so likely regulars would not have been possible or practical by flying them in a few days before playing.
