dont get me wrong either but i dont agree on what fev has done outside the club. but hey some of the responsibilty is on the club, thepeople, sponsors, members and media for placing expectations on the footballers themselves...

Long way to go for him yet.

Very important that we develop another tall option to assist him much in the same way Bradshaw does for Brown.

I liked the way we lined up with Setanta deep up forward but for me he isn't the right option. With Hampson back he, Cloke and Kruezer could rotate through there. Hartlett is the other option.

EDWARDS.. next year or maybe one after.. could be a gun

Pffft...poor man's Brad Fisher. There is a chance it could be Hartlett an even bigger chance it might be one of the super talls but my money would be on someone we pick up at the end of the year.

Agreed but i would hardly call it 'arguing'

He turned to the umpire to express his disappointment, he was lucky the ump didn't call advantage but thats more a lack of awareness then a lack of discipline.

Before anyone fires up with "we'll its lucky he didn't call advantage" just remember that you could probably look through the game and find 30 occasions where the players around the ball stopped once the whistle was blown so don't get carried away looking for something to crucify him with.

Don't be so defensive it's just a pet hate of mine (the misspelling of the word 'than'). God knows - I can't spell to save my life but I just don't understand why it is always that word.

It is like the visual equivalent of fingernails scratching a blackboard for me.

Hardly crucifying him :) - when Fev argues a decision he tends to be more vehement than most players and given the current AFL stance on players arguing against umps (50m penalties) and his past history it is an area of concern.

Having said that though - he more than made up for that with his efforts that lead to the goal by grigg.

i happen to be defensive pafloyul becuase your post had nothing to do with this thread to start with... your post was having ago at myself becuase i didnt choose the correct word.

if ya have a problem in future with me pafloyul pm myself so we don't detract from what the thread is all about like we have done here...

Fevola is like a kid who has to rely on his mum's Milk in order To produce and grow.

Fevola will always play a top game as long as his midfield ensure there is enough Delivery to the Forward line.

Nothing Frustrates Fev and takes him back to his old bad nature more than a Terrible Midfield who can not Deliver Quality Balls.

He's the best full forward in the business at the moment,---by a long way---. Why then , why would anyone even think about getting rid of him. He is going to kick over 100 goals in a season more than once in the next few years. Be great if he did at another club { Bummers, Aints Colonwobbles } wouldnt it. He is the one to build a better forward line around. We dont have anyone else who even looks a full forward right now. I say we should get off his case and enjoy the fact that we may have only the second player in the clubs history capable of kicking a ton in a season.

Havent read it all, not going to.
Fev is brilliant.
But does it strike anyone as strange that fans need to give others a two fingered salute on his behalf.
Talk of, 'with no alcohol he is brilliant'
Of course Fev is brilliant but there should be no reason for a point like above to enter into a debate on the man.

There are not too many in here are his enemies, he is simply his own worst one.

In my humble opinion.

With Sentanta's enthusiasm in the forward line we have another presence to match Fevola.

The way Sentanta celebrates a goal is gold.

And we have Fisher - along with Fev three power forwards make a good forward line in my opinion.

I still have my reservations.
A couple of times he went the wrong option

One thing i would be saying to him is just kick it long if he is unsure about the short pass.

Give him credit He played well

Agreed. Whilst there are still areas he can improve, everybody can agree that he is playing better (above expectations) so far this year...

...whether it is enough for him to stay on the list at the end of the year, we'll just have to wait and see.

We had a fantastic win on Sunday that lifted the spirits of all Carlton supporters. We went to work on Monday as winners, after a very long time, & to top it off, we broke the hearts of all Collingwood supporters.

Lets celebrate the win. It's been too long between drinks.

We've had more than enough time to focus on the team's negatives, so for 1 week, lets just enjoy the positives.

The boys were fantastic & as the thread says, Fevola was a Superstar.

Yes he was wasting his time arguing with umpires, but you were trying to say he was arguing with his back to the ball while it was still live which it wasn't.
