Loved the bit where he mentioned that it was up to the members whether he stayed or not!! As that's the criteria then I reckon RP is safe as houses, who'd be stupid enough to challenge him? Good luck fatpr1ck trying to influence Carlton members!!!

Sensational article. Richard Pratt will always be remembered as the man who got Carlton back on its feet when everyone thought the end had come.
We (the supporters) should be dedicating a round a year to this guy where we do something that stands out and people know is soley for Sir Richard. Just so he knows that all of us are 100% truly behind him and want to show an appreciation for everything he's done. He really is the modern day messiah for the Carlton Football Club.

It's gotta be a game against Collingwood, rub it in their face that we stole Swann ;)

Lets just say that those 2 losses in a row (St. Kilda and Sydney) resulted in a particularly large boost in the players end of season trip fund that year.

And before the "Bogans and No-Shows" start calling in to SEN and casting aspersions at the character of the Carlton Football Club - in those days this was par for the course at all clubs. Footscray in particular were past masters at betting on and against themselves.

And in 1991 please ask how bottom of the ladder Fitzroy managed to beat top of the ladder West Coast in Round 22. West Coast couldn't lose top spot and the bookies had Fitzroy at $8 - I had a lazy $100 on this. 8)

Interesting.

Best thing about a Q&A is that you can't be miss-quoted!!!
