For as long as I can remember,
From the time I was a boy.

Only one thing I can cling too,
The thing that brought me so much joy.

Was the feeling on a Saturday,
The best day of the week.

While walking down old Royal Pde.
Butterflies in the tummy, finding it hard to speak.

For Saturday was for footy.
And Princes Park is our home.

It's not the same anymore.
Playing at the Dome.

From the terraces in the outer,
Or the Heatley stand with a beer.

As Sticks put another one through,
We were always the team to fear.

Because Princes Park was our fortress
the place to meet our friends and foes.

A place where we dined in sheer ecstasy,
Devoid of any such lows.

A fond moment in time we hold Princes Park,
All the more dear to our soul.

Cherish those times forever, dear friends.
It's coach Rattens turn now to kick another goal.....

Surely to speak in rhyme,
If about Carlton is not a crime

Barack could write about Hughes,
His draft picks he thinks are blues

Synbad will give us the scoop,
What Melvey tells us will be poop

Fevolution will adore his hero,
What I understand of Tommi equals zero

All of us here love this great game,
My god this poem was extremely lame!
