After the unexpected flag, which will occur within the next 3 years, there will be no talk other than how Carlton will settle into its newly renovated home at Princes Park.

Any suggestions about moving will then be seen as ridiculous and foolish.

If Carlton came to Sydney, I wouldn't mind too much

But if another Sydney team was created, that would be yet another bandwagon I would not be jumping on.

It would give me more opportunity to see the boys up-close-and-personal, though ...

Either way - mehh ...

Any talk of it now is ridiculous and foolish

I agree, but a Flag will make any suggestion of this look even more ridiculous and foolish.

There are 3 things that are similtaneously needed to align for a club to relocate -

1. A lack of membership.
2. Deep financial problems
3. Poor on field performances.

Even in our darkest hour, we never came close to a three way alignment of these things despite having financials that were worse than Fitzroy's.

I could only ever support such a move (and barely so) if, as part of the move, an entire suburb in western sydney was renamed carlton

There's already a Carlton in Sydney, near Kogarah (down towards "The Shire")

It's towards the Shire and thank heavens it's not.

If Carlton relocated to Sydney, unless they were called Carlton, I'd probably switch teams.
