Further to that. I am sure we all are interested in ensuring that the Blues receive maximum revenue/ benefits from the fan sites .As such will you be providing links to the official site, Membership Department/ Club shop etc?

It's very early days. I have not spoken or been in touch with Carlton FC regarding this website.

The plan is for all revenue over and above the costs of running the site to be donated to the club.

As we know Carlton is currently signed up to Telstra and as such is pretty restricted in what they can do outside of that agreement.

The news section of the site currently includes news from the RSS feed on the official site.

I am keen at the very least to expand the calendar at the bottom of the front page with ALL the official Carlton events (not just fixtures)

If anyone is keen to help with this let me know.

Jim

whats there to be annoyed about ?

We promote carlton here , he wants to do the same there and is offering something a bit different to here and as jarusa said the more carlton sites the better.

He has also pledged to give profits to the club , so whats the issue?

After all it is all about the club right ?? right ??

Good work with the site Jim.
Just one request, could you please open links in a new window rather than moving from the site.

I never said we would turn it down, nor have I locked this thread have I?

It's just common respect that when you go to someone elses site that you make yourself known to the admin first when you are trying to drum up business for your own site.

In terms of the profit issue... that wasn't mentioned until after my comment so I don't think thats fair to point out now.

Hey BC,

As I said to one the admins on another forum

"I'm not a spammer and don't intend to keep posting stuff about the site over and above one post to let people know about the site.

Didn't consider that making Carlton fans aware of this site would need admin permission."

Given that he's also expressed concerns that you weren't notified - I can see where you guys are coming from.

I'll be sure to let you guys know before posting on any other forums.

cheers,

Jim
