In Kouta's book he wrote that Denis Pagan blamed he and you for trying to get rid of him. Was that fair?

I guess that he (Pagan) might have thought players were against him, but, as Kouta said, we stood up and said what we believed in at the time. It wasn't like we went into a meeting and said we want the coach sacked. We wanted a change in the environment in the way we needed things to happen, such as training.

How do you get along with Pagan away from football?

I have a lot of respect for Denis and what he's done in football. But there are probably times where we haven't got along well. He's one that will call it as he sees it and so am I.

What is Brett Ratten like as your new coach?

Ratts is big on using the ball well - making sure you win it, then hang on to it rather than turning it over for the sake of kicking it long. More creative handball and more run. We need to run more as a side.

I have to say after that interview I wouldn't be too disappointed if Nick was awarded the captaincy even though I am still leaning towards CJ.

I didn't play that well, maybe got 18 touches, but I still got the three Brownlow votes because they were booing us both. The umpires must have thought it was me every time they heard a boo.
