Further, some of our supporters then use the 'We are Carlton, **** the rest' line and it only exacerbates the situation further.

When the rest of BigFooty decides they will be objective instead of being the political equivalent of a hostile opposition on every issue, then perhaps the Carlton response won't be as insular.

I say this with a lot of bemusement, a lack of care factor, a great deal of observation of human nature.

I fully expect to be misquoted, misunderstood, have a plethora of 'boo hoo, want a tissue' type responses ..... but really ..... who cares?

Judd has commanded respect because of his past deeds, Carlton has a lack of true leaders and we already know that the young players that will form the core of our side the next ten years will follow him into battle and not want to let him down.

That'll do me everytime.

But why would they not want to let him down, what has he ever done for them? Surely he was recruited to make their job easier? Wouldn't you want the person to lead be someone who has always puts the team before themself, who displays dedication and devotion to the cause even more than skill? Even your players would realise that while Judd might be a great champion, he is still a mercenary who puts himself first. Is that the message you want to deliver to the young players of the next ten years?
