Yes that is my opinion based on watching him countless times miss targets, miss shots on goal (out of bounds on the full many times ), give off very ineffective handballs to guys out of position etc...Don't get me wrong he does all this after doing something incredible but this lack of polish if not rectified will mean he cannot go to the next level, which is where we all want him to go.

Yeah I know where you are coming from. His execution has been unbelievable at times in the past for this level, but that doesn't imply he doesn't have the smarts.

I agree, it's the lack of polish that is the problem; but it's improving. He's got his head over the ball and concentrating, or rather, deliberating moreso of late.

I think we can look forward to a more consistent, miraculous and more polished player from a mature Waite in 2008.

Hell, if Spalding and Fisher can het their execution right, then waite CAN do it too! If experience is the mother of all learning, then I'm sure he's made a lot of mistakes to learn from and improve from them; as we all do (some better than others).

Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Talented footballer though. :)

My thoughts exactly. Still knows how to play the game (at times!)

I don't think Sticks is a great public speaker either.

What, a director of the club advising the wider AFL community to go forth and multiply in a recorded speech at the B&F? Don't know where you get this from Chucky...

Yeah, but he has his singing to fall back on.
