some of you obviously never saw Michael Sexton when he first started. Now here was a bloke that had absolutely no idea in his first 10 games ... the games were slower ... he never played in a team that got flogged week in week out ... he also had the luxury of playing around good players with plenty of experience ... he adjusted and went onto become a great player for Carlton.
Steady on everyone with Bower. That incorrect decision in haste destroyed his confidence. I hope we persist with him.
Yep, felt just the same way about Secco early on. I think they began playing him on a wing and I thought "this guy has no idea!". What a gun he was. Felt the same way about Dog Brown too.
Keep playing Bower - what the hell do we have to lose. If Austin and Jammo can tip him out with good Ants form, well and good.
Whilst I'm at it, can't believe that Grigg can't get a run with this mob. Play him off HB and let him go, go, go. Another victim of the Pagan "can't make a mistake" mindset.
The other elephant in the room is the Mitchell/Pagan fiasco. If Sticks wanted to find a way to unravel some gloss from his Pratt coup, well mate, this was it.
I won't judge any of these kids until we get a new coach and have a "normal" development program. Full stop.
