I think of the young guys (24 and under):
1.Houlihan
2.Betts
3.Simpson
4.Thornton
5.Bentick
These guys are probably our most "skilled" youngsters, guys who I believe all should be playing an important part in our future.
Everyone here is saying how crap we are now (not on this thread really) and how we should try and bottom out and play kids, but I don't think we would "bottom out" neccesarilly, with lineups like this for the remainder of ther year:
B: Norman Livingston Carrazzo
HB: Teague Thornton Walker
C: Simpson Bentick Houlihan
HF: Lappin Waite Whitnall
F: Fisher Fevola Betts
Foll: French Koutafides Stevens
I/C: Camporeale Prendergast Russell O'Hailpin
Emerg: Sporn Wiggins Bannister Scotland
We can't lose by playing youngsters, we need to mould a group of committed players for the future, and turn [/i]theminto the next Lappin or Kouta.
With Fevola, Whitnall, Waite and Fisher, I believe we are spoilt for choice with young key forwards.
Stevens, Houlihan, Simpson, Walker, Bentick, Betts, Carrazzo, Blackwell - we need to break in a young brigade of midfielders, and if you simply rotate theses guys into the middle, train them hard, and get them playing as the "engine room", lets see what they can do, we have to at the end of the day, and lets see what happens.
Down back we have Thornton, Norman and Livingston, Teague - guys we can build as a defensive unit and garnish with different players.
Our young guys need to be given more exposure and responsibility, hardened and seasoned. We need to trade away for picks wherever possible.
