If my calculations are right Setanta is the 31 st player on our list to play senior football this year after 7 rounds and whilst this is somewhat of an indication of a team that is struggling and lacks stability it also shows that Dennis in his own quiet way is determining who is going to be at carlton for the longer term.
Hopefully each of bryan blackwell bentick russell clarke and fisher will also get a chance as well.It is not beyond the realms of possibility that all but Raso will get the chance to play senior footy this year.In the long term this is healthy and important to determine the management and maintenance of our list going forward.

bentick played in the melbourne wizard cup game danny. think he may have played agaisnt the dogs too but with limited game time. not too sure though. then he was dropped and has played VFL since.

Bentick hasn't played yet this year no. And I hope people are patient with AB, he's only in his second year on the list.

i've got plenty of time for AB, just wish the selection committee would blood him a bit more in the ones. now it looks like simpson is making the most of his chances, then maybe bentick will got more of a look in.

actually johnson coming in and making a decent fit of his games has probably kept bentic back in the magoos

I cannot see why we would not play 37 players (Ex Raso)? At least give everyone the opportunity to impress, especially if we lost the next two games.

Obviously we are still rebuilding so another clean out of 7-10 players will occur come end of year.

we used all but one (waite) in 2002.

i remember the last few weeks of that season, and i think one game we only had 24 or 25 fit players to chose from

Don´t want to see Blackwell for at least another 12 months. Like Simmo, he needs time to build his body but he´ll be a very good player in time. Seems the really light guys and the really tall guys both need time. Wont be surprised if he doesnt debut until 2007.
