Bec I never said it was a sucess  . I was merely pointing out where the precedent was set.

I know, I know I knew what you meant and that 300th is a perfect reason why someone like David Clarke should not play his 100th just coz it's his 100th.

:)

From all reports the guy in doing well in the VFL and probably deserves a run. Even if it is to just stick a firecracker up more senior/skilled players arses. Show them that effort will be rewarded ahead of mediocrity. At least he'll give 110% unlike most last weekend. Whilst people harp about his poor skills I was really disappointed with Johhno effort last week and would be suprised if Davids are as bad as that shown on Sat(but alcohol does affect my memory occasionally).

I dont really care if he gets there or not. Players reaching 100 at one club is more significant a milestone.

If he is a consisent performer in the "2"s then he should be given a chance. Lets face it, he can't be worse than some of those that I saw running around on Saturday. If we excluded everyone on our list with poor disposal skills then we would struggle to field a team this week.

As something of a romanticist I'd give him a game. Plays his 100th against his old side, he'd be fired right up... May give the boys a little extra lift...

Maybe it's the last game he plays for us... i know it's unlikely to happen, but I'd play him ahead of Sporn this week.

He should not play. Why should he play his 100th game? He should only play if he deserves to be in side. Since when did we become a club that let's players play milestone games coz it looks good on the resume?

I know some will think that's harsh, but in my opinion he's played 98 games to many...

Couldn't agree more bec, except, well we have been known to let players play their milestones for the hell of it (Mick Martyn comes to mind there).

I'll be very disappointed if he plays this week - but the Geelong supporters will love it!
