Bringing Digby in and playing him in defence is just going to see him get beaten again. Playing Deluca down back is only going to produce similar results. The problem is that it's hard to play all of Deluca, Digby, Fev and Lance in the one forward line. Maybe then it's time for Lance to go down back and Digby comes into the side and plays in the forward line. Fev at full forward and Morrell as like a centre half forward. Deluca as the third tall. I'd try this out and see how it goes.
Some interesting points Blues 2005. I think Digby can play defence.... but only on the third or fourth best forward. The problem this year was that he has played on the best or second best.
Deluca should be dropped. His form doesn't warrant being in the team.
I re-watched the Carlton vs Melb. Wizard Cup game this morning and noticed how comfortable Whitnall looked when close to goal. When he is further out the pressure is put on him.
Also was reminded of how good Fev was when he went on the lead into the midfield/wing. Some of his delivery and kicking was deluxe.
And finally it was interesting to see how many players were missing out of that side on the weekend.
fev (obviously)
chambers
mcgrath
carazzo.
If you take out this many good players the team is bound to suffer
