A great man (The Prez) once told me at the Wizard Cup GF, when the eagles got infront late in the last quarter that "momentum always changes", and it did.

We have seen how good we can be, eg. last quarters vs hawks, bombers & power. We have also seen how bad we can be, e.g whole tigers game, and 2nd half vs the Pies.

Last year when we got pumped we came out the next week and won, except this time, FEV is back. Pagan would have forgotten about the Tigers game on his way to the car that night, so i think we should all follow suit and think about the weeks ahead.

Momentum always changes, (The Prez, you are a genuis).

We played Essendon* bottom, 4 Hawks bottom 4 Barker goes off we win, Port injuries.

Most of you are all in denial once you realise that our list is average and we need to inject significant young talented players into this team the better you will be.

The problem is most of you are to blind to see what is going on down at the club, last year we needed some sort of success (10 wins) to help make the transition away from optus. The club is in financial difficulty we can not afford to bomb out and again the 10 wins help gain more membership then theres the preperation for the attack on the wizard cup and all the propaganda that came with it the talking up of young players, and how much the club has turned it around, all positive stories that the club knew came with the wizard cup success in the press and its obvious it has generated significant money for the club.

The harsh reality is that we are no good, within the next 2-3 years we will loose 4 of our main leaders Barney, Kouta, Campo and Skinny. This will agian leave us in a huge hole and Gary Lyons comments that it would take 10 years before we play finals footy has some merrit. I am certantly not slamming the club i just see the bigger picture and a pretty bleak picture it is.

BB, say what you want, but please don't quote Garry Lyon. He is a disgrace as an impartial comentater.

yes, yes, i am a great man

but really - the point of his post is spot on. Richmond are flying at the moment, world beaters according to some and we should trade all of our list for half of their team.

But, come the end of the year i have no doubt we will finish higher than them.

What say you then?

c'mon Gazza aint that bad. Go through our list we are desperatley missing a full back, a in and under on baller, 2 quick quality midfielders, a ruckman, a centre half foward, big bodies, skill full players, players with guts. The club needs an injection of talented youth within the next 2 years

If Pagan did that I'd be very VERY disturbed and horrified! Particularly after what he said in his post-game presss conference (“I thought we were over losses like that – obviously not!)

The writing has been on the wall for weeks now.
Unfortunately this is the thumping we had to have.
The next two weeks will show where these players futures lie.

Agree with Surrey.....the past 3-4 weeks we have played pretty ordinary but been lucky enough to either pinch a win (Hawks) or go down by a couple of goals. History will tell whether this thumping on the weekend was the wake up call the club needed.
