scotland will get off.

its not an eye gouge

you can see that he is "grabbing" but the second he realises its a face you can see he hand release it.

if lockyer testifying and showing no scratches or anything like that, and considering his history, i reckon he has a real show to get off.

campo - reckless - take the week

I'm surprised Lockyer has escaped scrutiny for the jab to the head of Davies which is what I'm guessing led to Scotland's actions, as in Heath was retaliating after seeing his teammate get a smack in the chops.

Whatever, Scotland's actions don't look good. If he got off Scot free I'd be surprised.

I also reckon Campo should take the week that's been offered.

A part of me still wants to see Campo contest the charge, lose and get 2 weeks. 1 for the offence, and the other for being an a-grade flower when his team needed leadership.

Release from the club:

Scott Camporeale has accepted a one-game suspension for striking Collingwood's Brodie Holland during last Saturday's match at the MCG.

Thanks Caz.

Very disappointing Campo. You are one of our leaders and it will mean a heavier load for your team-mates next week. Having said that God I wish we had someone with a bit of mongrel who would take out the taggers.

They would only get suspended every second week BB. Unlike other teams, we are not allowed to protect our own players.

I think your second statement is very important. While we all think Campo should have known better it is very difficult for a "non physical" player like Campo to take the punishment that he does without reacting ever. He gets no support from the umpires and Carlton hasnt got a player who intimidates the competition. If an Adelaide player gets roughed up, Riccuito is there, for brisbane its Voss, Michael, Brown, Kangas its Archer, so on so on
We need a mongrel that puts a bit of fear in opposition players.

the fact thata failed appeal at the tribunal means an extra week suspension is a disgrace. That rule is totally unfair and I think something needs tobe done about it. Every player should have the right to contest a decision.

Why should you be shot down for it? What do you guys think?

Both got what they deserved (No Campo should have got longer for stupidity) Strip this idiot of the V/C now and give to someone that deserves it like Lappin. Good to have some mongrel, but idiocy as shown by Campo should not be tolerated
