You just lifted my spirits.

I can see that after watching Motlop kicking for goal and running in the last month, and O'Farrell looks ready to go too.

Harry did his ACL in round 21 last year (August) and Motlop did his ACL in January this year.

Carlton defender Nic Newman has had finger surgery today.

He's still hopeful to play on Sunday night against Essendon* but a decision will be made later in the week. The Blues have the bye the following week which will be weighed up in the call. @AFLcomau

Was it just me or did he look really groggy after his fall the other night? He made some pretty poor turnovers afterward too.

A forced week off for Newman may not be the end of the world.
