So true . You can go to the Well once too often . Unfortunately a lot of members are at the end of there tether . It's becoming like the little boy that cried wolf once too often . I"ll be parting with my hard earnt as usual . Good luck to the membership dpt . It's becoming a real hard sell .

I agree Mick. I always come back. Unless, the AFL change the F/S rule next year. If we missed out on Cody Walker, that's corruption, incompetence and manipulation I couldn't walk past. That would be the end for me.
Honestly, I was just thinking that myself.

I think I'd be done, as terrible as that sounds.

It’s not terrible at all, because this is no longer a sport but entertainment.

The AFL unashamedly talks about the need to promote the game in ‘new markets’. They’ve ensured that the northern states have the best opportunities, and it’s paying off. They don’t give a shit about old school supporters as they assume we’re just rusted on and that allegiance is unwavering.

Carlton’s misery sells airtime, and money is all that matters.

Yep spot on.

I'm going to really struggle if the AFL get rid of F/S bids in the first round just as we have a genuine game changer coming through.

Would be so typical.

This was the best presser this season for me.
Also must be the media source Surrey thought Vossy blamed injuries and everyone else

I love straight up, honest accounts of a match/ season from the coach

I think he was spot on. :fight:

I believe as a collective, the TC community can create a protest movement, albeit small. We can, as a collective commit to refrain to continue our AFL/ Carlton membership if our club doesn’t stand up to this AFL. This move to penalise us again at the 11th hour as the AFL has since 2002, has become intolerable.

I read a post from an old TCer on BF, Todderski write up a post highlighting a list of the AFLs decisions which have blatantly hurt Carlton since 2002.

If we can get a bunch of signatures from members of this site, I will help put it out there to media to start the noise. I’m sure other sites will follow.

I’m in. Anyone else prepared to not purchase AFL / Carlton membership next if we are not allowed access to Walker under current rules.?

I think this year stinks.

Started with the dick pic saga.
Jagga does his ACL.
Walsh has a delayed pre season, after he comes back he has a hot spot and misses more games.
Newman injured for the year.
Charlie has 3 surgeries and no pre season.
We are 40 odd points up against Richmond and lose round 1.
Harry takes mental health leave. Injures his knee misses a chunk of the season.
Eiljah takes mental health leave. He plays 2 games.
Kemp injured and misses the rest of the year.
Cripps plays injured for most of the year and has very little impact.
We continue to have injuries.
Rumours of player unrest.
TDK story plays out all season finally resulted in him leaving as a free agent.
JSOS leaves, just because.
Charlie, despite saying he will stay, wants out.
Elijah told to look elsewhere.
I am sure I missed stuff.

...plus HOF's injury.

But yes that's the tale of the tape, terrible season.

Unearthed some good kids though.

I'm 99% sure that Cody Walker plays for Carlton. But it won't happen under the current rules, and that's probably how it should be.

Faeces, that just reminded me I can't be absentee again next year.

Yes you missed the Harry O'Farrell ACL
I'm not too bothered by JSOS leaving providing we ger decent compensation.

in no way different to any other corporation with an annual gross trade in the billions and profits in the hundreds of millions. And no, that was not a compliment directed to AFL House. Where can we see the AFL books, I wouldn't mind doing an in depth microeconomics exploration of their operations come to think of it.
