He’s easily worth $1m. That salary cap has increased so much, $1m today is like $600-700k a few years ago.

He’s not worth $1.7m though.

Loved the nice little backhander he gave Ross in the presser last night.

Personally, like seeing a bit more vigour from Vossy publicly.

Outcoached by Dean Cox who has looked like an oversized blobfish up there in the coaches' box all year

At least he speaks nicely to the media... that's very important to some on here

As much as I’d like to rant, I want to know what his KPIs are.

What is he accountable for?

Does anyone know?

Well he started by saying he's pissed off, hopefully being closed doors he's showing it in no uncertain terms. But the fact we had no structure and no ball movement plan in the second half is on him, too.

I remember during the telecast of the Saints game last week, Pendles was special comments and kept referring to Carlton's 'one wood'...

Carlton has to play their 'one wood'... Saint need to counter Carlton's 'one wood' etc... kept hearing it all night

They all know, the whole @#$%&! league... we only have one club in our bag, no wonder we can't get ourselves out of the bunker

One wood may be because our players aren’t capable of anything more than what we see week in week out.

Have never had any sort of consistency in the Voss era.

Wild fluctuations between putrid or brilliant.

In my view, this is unacceptable four years in.

This.

Fluctuations week to week. Quarter to quarter. Even within quarters.

2 coleman winning forwards and we continually serve up 1 or 2 goal halves.

it's deplorable, tbh...

I just watched the full presser from Voss.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Voss more pissed off than in his presser last night. Finally!!
He’s not only highlighted how the players let us down but gave the umpires a serve and the put the MRO on notice.
Well done Vossy. That’s what we need. Get into them all. Flower them.

I kind of zoned out after his solid opening "pissed off " salvo, but good on him for putting the MRO on notice. Disgusting for Amartey to do that with the game already won, and sickening to see him rewarded with a goal mere seconds later. He deserves the full force of the law, but it's Christian so who knows what will happen, gold medal or silver?

That late in the game was channeling Tony Lockett on Matty Hogg circa 1992

Admittedly not quite that extreme

Its a valid observation for sure. Whilst we should not remove Voss issues as our coach moving forward - I think the following from BlueVain in the match thread deserves a mention:

Quote:
The fact is Warner and Heeney took the game away from us. It wasn't White or Evans playing on them, And they didn't just have "their moments". They both made solid contributions where our midfielders had plenty of opportunities to limit their outcomes and couldn't/wouldn't do it.
In the first quarter where we had some clearance ascendancy, it wasn't due to our ground level mids. Of our 9 clearances for the quarter, 8 of them came from Pitto and Harry. It's a pattern that our mids drop off too much and it has a severely detrimental impact on our outcomes. Collingwood second half, Adelaide belting, Sydney loss.

Voss talked on the above during his presser after the game. I would agree we did not take our clearly multiple opportunities AND execute them as we should have - during multiple moments during the game against Sydney (and most others this season).

You cannot expect Voss to execute those things himself - that comes down to your cattle on the field.....

The query I have is he suggested they put some work into Heeney and/or Warner.... Not sure I saw much evidence of that after half time - or more importantly during the last quarter????

In Hindsight Walsh should have gone to Heeney. Simple.

Maybe Injury has not been kind to Vossy?

I think so.

Injuries depend on Depth for success
