WE need to decrease the number of under 21 players on our list, and top up with a few more role players and players with upside to improve our depth.

Depth creates pressure on spots resulting in more intensity on the field from players, let alone replacing injured players with AFL bodies with experience for the injured.

This year we have our eyes on 3 NGA players and a FS, all under 20yo. Lets assume we take 3 of them. IMO we need to replace 3 under 21yo for those 3 players.

Kemp is an ideal player for depth. He's a better footballer than Young, and finally we can see the importance of having a versatile player like Young on the list. Kemp can play back or forward, and imo, can also play wing, and should be tried in the midfield in the VFL.

Given we were all ears for a trade to St Kilda last year, I can see that being the case again this year.

WE need to top up our depth.

Motlop keen to stay and a contract will be done.
Newman will not be put on the long term injury list and a new contract will be done sooner rather than later.
Kemp will wait until later in the year.

I am sure Motlop is keen to stay on, no other club would pick him up.

Possibly.
Freo were keen to get him later in the draft
He's worth a 2nd round pick

Matt Kennedy is way more talented and versatile that Motlop, and look at what we got for him, a pick at the end of the second round. I don't think we'd be getting a second rounder for Motlop.

Maybe he meant a second rounder in the PSD?

I know.
I was kind of hoping someone at Freo reads my post and spreads the news.

We've got the place surrounded by 200 Agents, 14 German Shepherds, 2 tanks and a Lolly Pop lady.

My SWOT analysis tells me TDK staying is 50/50.

Watching TDK laugh and smile WITH Saints players during the game last week made me think he's gone.

If he is staying, it should be known to insiders at the club in 2-3 weeks (MSD time).

$4M difference in the 2 offers. $4Million.

I'm avoiding the issue till its announced.

Don't do it to yourself, he's clearly going to Geelong for 400k p.a. plus "image rights", "post-football career opportunities" and stuff that fell off the back of the truck.

Looks like it's not just clubs that are cross-pollinating :donk:
