I haven't changed my mind on the team since last week.

In: Docherty, Harry, Williams, Gov, Cerra
Out: Binns, Motlop, Durdin (inj), Owies (susp), Carroll

B: Saad, Weitering, Cowan
HB: Newman, Young, McGovern
C: Acres, Cripps, Docherty
HF: E Hollands, Kemp, O Hollands
F: Fantasia, Harry, Williams
R: Pittonet, Hewett, Walsh
Int: Kennedy, Cincotta, Lord, Cerra
Sub: Moir

Emergency: Carroll, Motlop, Lemmey

If there's any doubt about Cerra then Carroll should stay in the team. I am really worried about making five changes, I feel four is the max.

I had a dream last night, we were playing the Swans in a final and we were up 40 points to 20 late in the second quarter. At first I thought this meant we will win this weekend and play Swans next weekend, but upon reflection I think it means we will play the Swans in the GF.

Great dream.
If it comes true, I'll be asking you for lotto numbers next.

Part of me thinks we win, part of me thinks we get flogged.

i think that's it. if we win, it'll by a kick or less. if we lose, it'll be by 4-5 goals.

i love our chances if we can run out the game and don't lose players to re-injury

I can't see us dropping Motlop if two other smalls are already out, even though he probably doesn't deserve selection on recent form

I thought about it and I've changed my mind, now I think we'll just get flogged.

Lost 4/5 games and have been terrible since late July.

Yes I think I would settle for this side.
No point playing Charlie with his crook ankle and TDK probably couldn't play a full game in the ruck which means we would need to go with the dreaded 2 ruck option. There is a significant risk in selecting Cerra however we need more firepower in the middle than just Cripps and Walsh if we are going to challenge the Lions at the Gabba. Cerra's form has been poor on return from injury this year and hopefully he can turn this around.
I would also consider rolling the dice and selecting Martin ahead of Fantasia or maybe even persisting with Motlop despite his recent poor form.

i think if we bring pressure & play like we did against the weagles and aints. adding in some class like Harry, williams, and mcgovern to that team and we'll be in with a show.

saints had some excellent form leading up to that game and badly wanted to beat us, and for the most part we looked like we shoulda won - with a mostly vfl side.

plus the lions kryptonite this season has been when you put pressure on them. and we do that as good as anyone.

Those of you who are pessimistic...don't be!!!

I'm not saying we will win but I am saying that the Carlton MINDSET (regardless of personnel) that comes to play Saturday night will bear no resemblance to that which was in freefall in the last 3rd of the year

Players are mentally and physically refreshed, hungry, focused and now inspired by Doc; even those coming back from injury.

It's sudden death and players will play that way, from the first bounce. Doesn't guarantee a win but Brisbane WILL NOT get it all their own way

Personally, I think we will cause an upset...but that's just my opinion

TDK played in the match simulation on Monday and looked fit and healthy.
He is doing everything he can to be selected for Lions game.

Charlie didn't play in the match simulation.

I have another hunch. TDK to play and Charlie fails to come up.

Sub for me is between Durdin or Lord. I don't think Durds shoulder can last 4 quarters.

Therefore, you gave me my opinion

I think you're right.

The team selected WILL be playing to win.

This year has been the year for eradicating all known hoodoos

One remains.

We have never won an interstate Final. This will be our 9th attempt....something about 9 lives... :sly:

Everyone really wants to beat us, every single game whoever we're playing always set themselves up tho.

So Charlie has flown up to Brisbane, albeit separately from the rest of the team.

Interesting

Peptide appointment delayed the trip?

Went earlier according to Tom Morris.
Perhaps they didn't book him for the team flight thinking he wasn't going to play...

Maybe they flew him up on the Shiel Express so he could stretch out better?
