At the training session presser this week Voss got asked about the "narrative" that emerged around Walsh throwing his head to the ground in the Dangerfield tackle last week. That was the media's way of softening the language to protect a DH comment from one of the biggest sources of DH comments during AFL coverage, one attention-deficit-disorder Brain Taylor. Voss used the single tense referring to the source in his response, not pretending this was some widespread narrative or tribunal hearing discourse:

“Questioning the integrity of Sam Walsh, it was a ridiculous comment to make. I’d be happy enough to have that argument with anyone standing in front of me.”

Suck on that in your contract renewal discussions, Brian Failure.

The shock sacking of Channel 7’s sport boss Lewis Martin has clouded the future of some of the AFL’s biggest media stars.

As the dust settles on Martin’s surprise dismissal earlier this week, what it means for one of his favourites in particular, the station’s No.1 caller Brian Taylor, is the talk of the football world.

“Lewis was the biggest supporter of BT of anyone by so far, he was BT’s guy,” one Seven insider said. “The most nervous bloke in the whole place will be BT.”

Taylor has been the subject of viewer backlash for years, even last week a petition was started on social media to have him removed because of his allegedly biased and inaccurate commentary

When BT's not casting aspersions like this, he's trying to get our players suspended.

Biased, inaccurate, and off with the fairies.

I never thought I'd miss Bruce.

Only criticism is you could include a rookie type player like brodie Kemp in the conversation

Well….

i wonder if the cheats get any comments about “injections”…!

I’m guessing they should shouldn’t they….?

the club MUST make a comment about this…it can’t just
be swept aside as “boys talk”…!

kindest regards tommi

That comment was ridiculously unprofessional, but then you wouldn’t expect any less from BT. He’s a clown commentator and needs to be shown the door asap

His error-riddled commentary is straight up awful to listen to… but, if you want to bury the cauliflower as bad as I do, leave him in the lineup.

Now that the arrogance has started to bubble, no-doubt egged on by the peanut gallery that refuses to pull him up, he’s a bees dick away from destruction.

Whether it’s the rapey Saints, Dani Laidley, the Pride flag in Sydney’s cheer squad or the Women’s game in general… there’s something coming.

He’s got the rope. Let him tie the knot.

I was hoping it'd be the Lygon Street mafia after what he said yesterday

if you could recruit Wayne Carey to play for North again then it’s fair to say bruce would be back on any salary.

nicely thought through. hope you’re correct.

i can see why seven like him, he’s very animated, and given that so many games each year are uneven matches and boring to watch other than for fans of playing teams (though less so this season for some reason) that helps create some faux tension and heighten any tension that’s objectively in the game itself.

but he’s so biased and sneering about it. he’d be tolerable appart from that. having everyman Richo constantly adding the suffix “BT” to every second comment he makes is pumping BT up. so pumped up on his own and richo’s supply he’s ready to burst!

like his brain farts matter to the other commentators.

actually don’t mind the mafia/organised crime being called out, but as if they only barack for the Blues! not appropriate for the footy!
