I think our midfield is too tall also. Where's our Lachie Neal type....Tom Mitchell...Horne Francis

We need a strong mid with speed. Petracca and Warner have killed us in consecutive weeks. We need one of those.
We need a second tall defender. Marchbank/Kemp/Young all cannot lock down that position.
We need a high half forward/small crumbing forward that can win us a match. All the good teams have one except us.
We need a head of fitness that can keep the players on the park.

One of the things Sydney have done well is recruit a midfield that is dynamic
Rowbottom is a plodder but a good one
The rest are dynamic
Sure Gulden was an academy
Heeney is from NSW
Papley Haywood Warner are non NSW so other clubs could have got them

5 to 8 years ago we missed on our mids at the draft
It has cost us and we have played catch up
Hewett and Kennedy are serviceable
Cerra is quality
Of course Walsh is a gun
Cripps is an inside beast as we know but their all plodders
Acres as well
All good players but they get exposed by pace and being dynamic
Stood out last night
Chad Warner was pick 39 from East Freo
That is great recruiting

So true. The Dow and O’Brien picks are coming back to haunt us.

Relying on Kennedy and Hewitt is holding us back. Need some pace through that midfield.

When the game is on our terms, we can play some great football. However, when it is not, we have major deficiencies. No real plan B.

Although, our recurring injury list doesn’t help.

Voss is holding us back refusing to play the younger players we draft he is happy to players who are under performing with the injuries we have it is a perfect time to play some instead he keeps going back to the same old players

Are you suggesting we should be playing Akeui, Monahan, Wilson, Moir and Mirkov in the senior?

Who exactly is he refusing to play? Binns maybe but none of the others running around in the VFL are anywhere near close to playing at afl level, except Young.

While unlikely to be addressed, we need to boost our midfield first and foremost in the MSD.

MSD requirements:
1. Durability
2. Speed
3. Footy IQ
4. Skills

Why aren't we doing this?

https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/elliot-yeo-offered-multimillion-dollar-deal-from-adelaide-as-multiple-rivals-circle-west-coast-midfielder-c-14730719

Fits our list profile perfectly.

It's good, now that SOS has gone we have been able to change our profile.

1. Previously drafted by me
2. Injury prone or unfulfilled talent
3. See 1 or 2

We've streamlined it.

Would Tomilinson be a reasonable replacement for Muchbroke?

Probably cheap too. Stuck behind Lever and May. Could probably also fill the third forward role, seem to recall he’s got good disposal

Tomlinson used to be a flying winger, didn't he? But also, you know, tore an ACL and has only played a handful of senior games since. Pass.

Didn’t know he did an ACL, if he does his hammy three times before the end of the season would you reconsider?
