All superstars if they played for the tigers, take butler out if the tigers and he’s a spud. Prove me wrong, you can’t because I’m right.

Being a successful recruiting person in the AFL he was asked about what’s the one thing you look for in a kid.

Effort
Everything else is secondary.
That’s why I would take Baker over Martin any day.

Martin is so @#$%&! overrated. It ain’t funny.
I couldn’t see him stand up to GF pressure

That spud Short racked up more yards gained than any player in the comp.
That Chaos Football that is Richmond’s game style can only be implemented with effort
Tell me does
Cunningham
Martin
Setterfield
Provide that
I’ll keep going if you want

No they @#$%&! don’t
Hopefully they can improve because they need to and effort is a skill in itself
Yesterday showed how are off we are in playing top 4
Agro made a great point
There always on the move
Richmond don’t stand around like statues. They are constantly on the move.
Maybe we focus too much on reputations rather than effort

I sort of agree with you keogh.

Except my belief is that our players are reactive instead of proactive.

Reactive - one step behind.
Proactive - one step ahead.

Proactive = Tigers.

Wrong on Setterfield and extremely wrong on Martin.

I don't know what game you watch.

If he was good, he'd have a job.

one thing in common that all richmonds late picks or rookies picks have is that they are all quick and this is wat concerns me about our list. Players like sps, setters, kennedy and even plowman are all slow. We need to introduce speed to the team 1 from defence and 2 in middle. Funny thing is i have been saying this for about 5 years .

does this mean we need to get crouch from adelaide, or his dealer?

Went missing in the finals when the pressure was on, like Geelong in the GF, like any players not using the Richmond system.

A team needs to be well drilled, committed and blindingly hard for 4 quarters, that's it. Sprinkle some stand out talent certainly, But main elements are commitment , hardness and athleticism as whole, call it wave effect, team pressure whatever one wants, Tigers have plenty and perfected it, its now in their team culture.

Its taken Damian Hardwick 7 years to win a flag at Richmond. Just some perspective.

His team didnt start playing finals until three years into his tenure. Its not an easy game and sure the players at Richmond were dedicated to build a winning culture but there is no reason to believe Cripps, Docherty, Weitering and Walsh wont do the same for our club.

Ralph: Williams move a masterstroke

Next year’s salary cap is $13.273 million plus a marketing allowance of $1.194 million.

So, in effect, by paying an extra $100,000 in a $14.4 million cap, Carlton has paid one extra dollar in every 140 it possesses in that cap next year to secure Zac Williams without the loss of a first-round pick.

Hand him a $700,000 salary over four years and GWS would match the end-of-first-round compensation pick then stick its hand out for the club’s No.8 draft pick.

As it happens the Blues will get a deal done on Essendon*’s Adam Saad using that exact draft capital.

So if you are one of those prepared to picket-line Ikon Park on the size Williams’ deal, you also have to believe the club should only have gone after one of Williams and Saad.

We haven't handed over pick 8 for Saad.
If we don't its a Bonanza Trade period.

If we hand pick 8 over for a return of a First round pick in the teens, we still have a First round pick to use in the draft/trade or package for a Premium player wanting to be part of the action at the Destination club on Royal Parade, Princes Park.

If we hand over pick 8 for Saad when we didn't have to then Austin needs to front the Members.

Ralph is saying that pick 8 is part of the 'capital'.... not use pick 8 for Saad... That would make sense that 8 will somehow be used rather than a straight swap...
But as you say Bondi, a straight swap would need some explaining

Go Blues
