This is excellent work. Thanks for taking the time to break the list down. It does highlight a question in my mind: why didn't we go for Schache given we had the trade currency to do the deal? He would seem to be a missing piece if you assume McKay can play CHF.

I see Charlie/Harry as the perfect key position lead up/deep forward combination.

Surround them with smart skilled medium/small forwards and we're set.

36 current primary list players.

3 draft picks and a DFA ... or ... 4 draft picks ?

Great summary to look at.

Profile looks very good, only development between now and becoming a Top 4 team.

A couple of classy free agents would be handy too.

They are coming to the new destination club, no doubt.

...and...did someone say there's a BIG preseason before the current list next play a season prior to the FA's coming?

Dane, there will be BIG changes to your profile list at the end of 2018.
No doubt for the better.

I was going to post something along these lines but decided to read the thread.
Lang and Lamb may compete for the same role, Lang perhaps having more upside as far as midfield rotations are concerned. He and or C. Curnow might go into the midfield so Cripps etc can go forward. I don't see Lamb being able to do that. Or Jack.
I also agree with the poster about pulling the trigger too soon on Jones. He's 27 and should have three to four years left in him.

That would have to be a world record post for Dane as well. He is a bit like Bruce Doull usually and tries to make three words do when five are needed.

After next years draft trade we will have completely rebuilt the list after 4 off seasons with the current team in charge.
SOS has done a good job identifying anyone with currency and extracting some value out of them
Menzel
Henderson
Yarran
Bell
Tuohy
Gibbs
out for picks and players. He has managed to turn that into
Marchbank
McKay
Curnow
Williamson
Cuningham
Plowman
Pickett
Kennedy
Pick 10
Lang
Polson
Lamb
Kerridge
Smedts
Wright
Phillips
Pick 30

Adding SPS, Weitering, Fisher etc through normal draft picks.

Wonder if this is SOS.

It's the Blues.

Crows paid overs and whinged.

Rockliff wanted serious $$$ - SOS said no way, Blues weren't that keen and he sooked it up, went to Port and got the $$$ h wanted;

Stringer wanted $600k plus - blues held strong, stringer went to Ess;

SOS played hard at the trade table, we are no longer the leagues bitch.

SOS is only "difficult to deal with" for those who try to @#$%&! him around.

I'm sure if you asked Stephen Wells (who funnily enough doesn't @#$%&! around) about SOS' approach you'd get a much different response.

This is an amazing post!

WOW.

I believe it but I'd like to see the breakdown because this is a remarkable achievement should be the basis of a news report on list management and rebuilding without any assistance from the AFL.
