From Herald Sun quote above-

Quote:
Carlton plans to surround its new senior coach with experienced coaches and support staff to ensure it has the best senior coach and coaching tears.

It will be an independent review.

Sticks will be tasked with taking Andy to the pub for a couple of pints to ask him how he reckons he's travelling.

Sweet?
Sweet.

Officially, nobody is going anywhere yet:

Quote:
Carlton’s new coach will report to head of football Andrew McKay, whose position has been strengthened in recent months.

He has conducted a review of the club’s lines of reporting in the past 12 months and is a key member of Carlton’s rebuild.

Carlton assistant Dean Laidley also has a strong future at the club given he has been a stabilising figure during a turbulent year.

He and Barker have worked well together in recent weeks after Laidley was at one stage a strong chance to win the caretaker role.

Carlton plans to surround its new senior coach with experienced coaches and support staff to ensure it has the best senior coach and coaching tears.

The Blues continue to maintain fitness boss David Buttifant will remain next year despite their interest in Dogs fitness guru Justin Cordy, who left to head up the Suns team.

...until the new coach starts sakcing .....

FFS. :banghead:

2 steps forward 10 steps back.

Can someone please explain when doing a full review that a person who's has been in charge when a number of very poor decisions have been made is conducting the review himself. Surely it should be conducted by an independent person or group?

Just a vibe, but perhaps the football dept was a one man band with Malthouse playing all the instruments and the others just doing backing vocals.
Maybe now others are actually doing their role.

But I could be wrong, who the !@#$% knows...
