Malthouse is looking for reliability and consistency, if either of these two guys can bring that to the table they are a good chance to earn themselves long term tenure at Carlton.

There a chance. I still believe White is the best one on one defender we have and can swing forward. Rowe is improving and who knows?

They may both stay next year as we don't have many "Talls" and they fill a role. Even with cutting 10-12 players next year there are a few others that will go first.

Based on current form they'd be in the first dozen retained

Both are currently looking good for at least another year & both have returned from some way back. MM has already declared they're jumping the queue with their recent efforts. There's been improvement each week of late from them both & it'll be a bonus if that continues for the rest of the year (vs the AFL development of Watson & McInnes).

There'll be plenty of others in front to be moved on, whether that be through retirement, trade or delisting.

No and No

Showing good signs last 3 rounds.
I've seen too much rubbish to be convinced.

ATM it's a case of desperate teams do desperate things.
They might make it if they continue to improve.

Really, would either get a game in a top 4 side?

There's a guy ...rock solid defender in a top 4 side...played every game this year...young, skilled on the left foot, beautiful reader of the flight of the ball. ...should chase him...bearded bloke, no 11 for the Swans...

Check your facts. He was the ONLY player OMITTED from the team that lost to GWS. He's only guaranteed a game because Alex Johnson has done his knee for the 3rd time.

Because all he does is punch (the ball) even when there is a marking opportunity. Under instructions maybe.

You might be onto something. The VFL boys have been under strict instruction to spoil nearly at all costs.
