Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer is set to miss Thursday night's game against Richmond, due to his ongoing foot problem.

Kreuzer will be a late withdrawal from the Blues' second-round side, with defender Matthew Watson also expected to miss the match.

Watto did look to be hobbling in the last Q. vs PTA (same foot that finished him last year).

Would have liked to have seen Cas in for Kreuzer but hope Sammy shapes up, fwd, back or in the ruck.

Was liking Andrejs for 1st goal scorer but he may be starting back. Personally prefer him up forward if the tripe he dished up last week was his effort as a defender.

No Jackson or Rance - key players for the Tigers.

This.
They missed Jackson BIG time last week - he helps them stem the flow when the other team is running hot, and provides a bit of consistency & honesty to a flakey team.
He is more important to their side than Carazzo is to ours, IMO.

Rance is a big out too - Hopefully our forward line can capitalize.

Should be a tight game!

When was the last time MK was actually fit???

In the interest of being positive though, congrats to Buddy's cousin on 100 games :)

Disappointing that on going issues have not been dealt with so that a player can start the season with confidence in their body and the support team. Something not right there for mine. We don't have the full story but disappointing none the less.

Normally I am very positive about the Blues but I think we are in all sorts of trouble tonight. We could not match Port's midfield, run out of legs, struggled for forward options and created a heap of turnovers. Now I know Rich were not much better last week but I just have a bad feeling :(

HUGE game for Murphy. Step up son and be BOG.

If Murphy tries to hand off any goals I will not be pleased.

Very well said, He does it to much.. He should go back every mark he gets in the 50 and go for goal, he is our skipper and should be nailing them

..that goes for every player, unless a team mate is alone in the square.. ..but they are weak willed, it's why they try for goal in an impossible angle from the pocket, no pressure.. ..as soon as they are in a position where they are expected to goal, they tremble..

..theres a term for that, c'mon Greco style boys, you know it, don't let me down..
,

..bahhh, you pack of new age Minoans are lettin' ya team down..

..middle to late last season missy n, but a broken foot for a ruck ought not be to expected to be fully recovered by start of following season.. ..you don't play him at all, let alone in seniors if he isn't fully recovered from the broken foot.. ..but we rush him every time cos the kid has massive pain tolerance.. ..but we're stupid, and krooz too loyal.. ..what little inside word I've come across hinted that some ppl were amazed and shocked that krooz played thru the injury for 3/4 of that elim final.. ..but you know every game he is out there that krooz will give 100%, and cos we can't say that about half the list he gets played even though we should rest him..

Agree because of our unrealistic demands for success given our overall talent we have played injured players too much
