Thinking about it. Already sent little Bomani a long-distance membership.

So that's what the Northern Blues coach looks like...

It's not often people rediscover the reason they fell in love with something, usually its related to your partner.

It's not often I'm serious on this forum either cause i suck at it (most would say my jokes do too :-) ) so here goes.

I just want to say that I've had an experience with the footy club I loved (and fell out of love with this year) this week that has relit the flame.

Not only the social gathering Tuesday night, but today I received a couple of calls that personally were very touching, I'm not going to delve into the conversations but believe me when I say the club is turning, we have the people in place with the passion and understand what's needed. It might not happen overnight, but with the 150th celebrations coming up in 2014, Supporters will become the focus again.

I encourage all those disgruntled to send a message, put a phone call in, let your thoughts be known, the more constructive we are I believe those watching will do what they can to address the problems.

Fix the backend operational issues and the processes become simplified to manage the supporter base as it should be. That's tangible, only we won't see the fruition in full until completed.

At least we aren't selecting a speaker of the house Ukranian style ;-)

FWIW - somehow missed this thread last week; would have gone if numbers needed. Thanks to those who went.
Re Synbad's choice - people were correct in suggesting you would have made a great contribution...and of course the choice was yours to make.
Amazing shift in the atmosphere on here as we are not currently playing crap footy and we have a coach sorting the boys out: wonder if the love-in continues if we lose first 2 games!
I luv yous all!

this may be misleading, Collingwood off the top of my head have been in 7 Preliminary Finals over the last 9 years

Collingwood has a far better administration than Carlton at the moment...it is plainly obvious as the nose on your face....

Yep I missed this thread too, would have liked to have gone.

Well done and thanks to those who did show up, and well done to the club too, for finally getting on the front foot and engaging.

Sounds like it went well, and great to see there's already been some follow up. I must say even for those not directly involved in recent events, the wave of optimism and positive feelings is rising. Let's hope it continues.

In my book, through it's efforts over the last few weeks (including Ruffy), the club has earned the right to open minds and support from the membership base; current, lapsed and prospective. I will definitely be on board next year again. I was considering hopping off.

Hi everyone.

Hope you're all well!

One of the main points that was raised during December's Carlton Social Gathering was that supporters wanted to gain greater access to Club representatives for the sake of transparency.

Carlton Board Member Ryan Trainor has made himself available on Tuesday, April 30 at 7pm to answer any questions you might have about the Club. This Q&A session will be run through www.carltonfc.com.au and will be open to all members and supporters.

Please feel free to get in contact with me should you have any questions - luca.gonano@carltonfc.com.au

I look forward to hearing from you next Tuesday.

Luca @ CFC Media.

Good idea Luca. Hopefully people do their homework before asking the questions and perhaps read Stephen M's post on here that answered a number of members' questions.

Hi Luca,

Do you have any further details on how to access the session from the website?
