Reluctantly agree NBH, but the point is that if we don't win a flag in the next 2-3 years, we will likely have even less chance in 4-5 years and probably for the next 10-15 years until the baby clubs are at the end of their premiership reigns and their current draft stocks are depleted.
Ours is not a list to be rebuilt. Our list is mature. Juddy has 2 or 3 years left max. Waite is finished. Our number ones are unlikely to get a whole lot better. Our younger brigade are unlikely to be world beaters. If we are going to strike it must be soon. We need to throw everything at it now.

And still don't understand the personal antipathy towards Mick. That some would actually get some degree of pleasure out of Carlton losing because they hate him so much. WTF
Just don't get it. He is smart, articulate, decisive, driven, arguably charismatic, with a proven track record and leader with a capital L written all over him. Sure he appears egotistical and arrogant, but many leaders are, and isn't that what you want. I like that swagger. He hasn't put a foot wrong since he's been at Carlton these last several months.
He's the new coach of the club we love, not your "arranged marriage future life partner". You don't have to love him for his wonderful personal qualities or live with him. As a leader of young men going into battle he looks pretty good to me. I don't want SNAGS at Carlton.
Come on stop the whinging.
Seriously - these are the best 2 quotes I've read in here.
Again for the record, I'm not against Malthouse but was also a supporter of Ratten.
We rolled the dice for a premiership coach because we believe we have a premiership list. End of Story!
People need to accept this, acknowledge this and not hide behind excuses.
The club have made the check move.....let's hope it's check mate.
