All good, apart from the fact that Murphy is the softest captain we have had in a long time.....should be much easier to retain his services now.
Soft!! Got to be kidding. Not many players would have hit in hard to Dangerfield like he did and pay the price for it
The story was that he was sent a message via the runner that he needed to be harder at the footy (ie. playing soft footy) and his first contest after that message was the dangerfield one. 8 weeks out is not going to make him full of confidence when playing 'hard footy'
I must agree with the statement from Yazz although i think he'll do a cracking job and was the right choiceSo.. you're saying that the right choice was to appoint a bloke who you think is the softest captain we've had in a long time? Just what makes it a good choice appointing a soft captain? I'm really confused by your post!!
haha you're easily confused
I agreed with Yazz that he was our softest Captain in a long time, not sure i said anywhere that he was too soft, or too soft to lead our club, did i???
If you take a look at that photo of our past captains he would be the softest of that bunch. Yes he wins a few hard balls but in comparing him to other captains and other captains alone he is not as hard as they were.
The kid can play footy at an elite level, obviously oozes leadership and class and was the right selection over carrots and simmo as he has time on his side.
Still confused?? i thought so...
