The season...

If we finished 13-9 like we should've but would've been quite satisfied with that ratio given the injuries. Tells me, in a funny way, that it was a good thing we lost the other night otherwise the cracks may have been papered over as my attitude is completely different now. Showed great things at times, poor more often than we should've been. Showed we could play, even with half a side but mentally didn't put it out there enough. Too many weak, lazy efforts. It seemed a waste but in some respects glad it was all laid out to bare for all of us to see in the most embarrassing and public way.

The big positive to come from injuries is we found players in the last 5-6 weeks we didn't think we had. We filled alot of our on-field weaknesses because of the those injuries.

Weight of expectations in the pre-season, early on in the year, only to experience a domino effect of destruction from round 4 onwards.

I think it was a big reality check.....lots of games where we looked like a bottom 4 side.

I reckon we had one good win for the season R3 v Coll.

Hard to forget how Ess shocked us, Adel smashed us, Haw toyed with us, Saints, North and Cats had too much grunt, our attitude against GWS, Port and GCS was pathetic and we struggled with other wins against Rich, Dogs.

Haven't been here for ages, it's interesting reading the TC views again.
This is the worst season I've ever had as a Carlton supporter, a few months ago I lost interest, it's never happened before in a lifetime supporting The Blues.
I kinda saw it coming a few years ago but didn't want to believe it, now it looks like we'll give Malthouse carte blanche to try and redeem the situation, it won't work, don't know if I'll get a membership next season, probably not.
I might have seen my last Carlton flag.

This thought is very sobering, it's been 17 years already, only a couple of years short of half my life

Jacobs hitting his straps summed up the season for me.

Season was summed up beautifully by our last 2 matches and the rather
dramatic and opposing outcomes of the 2 games.

Actually i was originally going to sum up the season by saying........
"Like a bucket of shit, without the bucket"

A very frustrating season after high initial hopes!
But to much pessimism.
The basis of the list is good and there are some good kids at the Northern blues that due to injury did not get any game time.
